TAFM 2020 Annual Academic Seminar
On July 19, 2020, the Taiwan Association of Family Medicine held its 2020 Annual Academic Seminar at the International Conference Center of National Taiwan University Hospital. Ranking officers at the Ministry of Health and Welfare were invited to address the seminar attendants about the crucial role of Taiwan’s health care-medical system in national pandemic control. Main themes of the seminar incorporated “Roles and Contribution of Family Medicine in Fighting against COVID-19,” “Physicians of Western Medicine: Human Resources Planning and Future Development,” “Home Care and Long-Term Care,” and “Dementia Diagnosis, Treatment, and Care.” In addition to its focus on academic research and exchange, the seminar was enriched by relaxing and heartwarming activities such as piano recital and photography exhibition from members. The total number of attendants for the 2020 TAFM annual academic seminar reached 2,600, and, on top of papers delivered through presentations, as many as 163 poster papers were submitted for exhibition at the seminar! With profound pride and gratitude, TAFM thanks its guests, members, and staffs for making this year’s academic seminar another brilliant success.
