本研究目的在探討婚姻暴力中受虐婦女與施虐者的特質以及受虐婦女的生命威脅狀況。以立意取樣方式從高雄市和高雄縣家暴中心、高雄市一家醫學中心、一家區域醫院急診以及一家區域醫院家庭醫學科門診，選取109位受虐婦女為研究對象。研究結果顯示：受虐婦女和施虐者均以30至39歲、高中/高職的教育程度、有工作與第Ⅳ級的社經地位最多。另外，受虐婦女以已婚、有兩個小孩、經濟來源為自己且勉強維生為最多，婚齡與受暴期間皆以1至9年最多；施虐者的特質以未曾犯罪、在孩童時未曾受虐及曾目睹雙親間之暴力者為最多。生命威脅狀況以「威脅要殺害你和/或你相信他會殺害你」的出現頻率最高；「施虐者濫用成癮藥物」的出現頻率最低。有82.6％的受虐婦女處於生命威脅狀況之中、高危險群，顯示台灣受虐婦女生命威脅狀況的嚴重性。本研究建議健康專業人員應多加關注受虐婦女的處境，臨床上可使用「生命威脅狀況量表」來做進一步評估，以適時提供適當的資源，使受虐婦女了解其所處的生命威脅狀況並協助其對未來能做更好的決策。 The purposes of this study were to explore the characteristics of the abused women and abusers, and the life-threatening situation of abused women in marital violence. The subjects were recruited purposively from the Family Violence Prevention Centers, emergency departments of a medical center and a regional hospital, outpatient clinics of the department of family medicine at a regional hospital in Kaohsiung City. One hundred and nine subjects participated in this study. The results found that most of the abused women and abusers’ age ranged from 30 to 39, had high school education, employed, and at the fourth class of socio-economic status. Most of the abused women were married, had two children, economic resource came from self, economic status was strained, and both the year of marital status and duration of violence ranged from one to nine years. Most of the abusers had not been involved in a criminal event, were not been abused in childhood, and saw the violence between the parents. The most frequent life-threatening situation was “Does he threaten to kill you? and/or “Do you believe he is capable of killing you?” The least frequent situation was “Does he use drugs?” Among 109 subjects, 82.6% were grouped as medium and high levels of life-threatening situation, indicating the severity of the marital violence in Taiwan. Hence, it is worth paying attention to life-threatening situation of abused women in future. It was suggested that the “life-threatening situation scale” not only can provide health professionals to assess the actual dangerous situation of abused women, but al
